Grants & Scholarship Accounting

The San Jacinto College District Office of Grants Management manages financial accounting and financial reporting of grant, Foundation, and scholarships. It is our mission to facilitate usage and expansion of outside financial resources to build positive student outcomes, and to do it compliantly, efficiently and effectively.

To accomplish its goals, the office interacts regularly with Project Directors, both faculty and staff, regarding grants. Department members meet with students, faculty, and staff regarding scholarships, with governmental agencies and corporate sponsors of federal, state and local grants, and with representatives of the San Jacinto College Foundation.

Among the responsibilities of the Grants Management office:

• Managing the financial reporting for federal, state and local grants.
• Managing the financial aspects of external, Foundation and campus-based scholarships.
• Assisting with budgetary review of proposals.
• Monitoring compliance of expenditures.
• Coordinating grant financial audits
