Mission

The primary role of the Department of Enrollment Services is to administer all of the services and programs that are designed to help students enroll at the College, including admissions and registration, financial aid, and testing. The goal of the Department is to position students in a way that maximizes their chances for academic success.

The Department serves the entire College community, including more than 25,000 students, 469 faculty and staff, and thousands more applicants, alumni, vendors and area residents. A staff of many work diligently to ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone involved in learning at San Jacinto College.

Among the Department’s accomplishments are the following:

• The vast majority of applications at the college are processed within 24-48 hours
• During 2008-2009, more than $26,000,000 in financial aid was awarded to San Jac students
• The College Call Center fields more than 370,000 calls per year
• The Testing Centers administer approximately 28,000 tests annually
• With the help of Enrollment Services, each campus conducts formal commencement ceremonies where packed audiences gather to celebrate this special moment in the lives of San Jac students
