Department of Research & Institutional Effectiveness: Achieving Strategic Planning, Institutional Research & Effectiveness (aSPIRE)
Goals and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in development of a research program to support a college-wide Institutional Effectiveness System that meets or exceeds regional accreditation requirements;
- Guide development of an Institutional Information System. Design, execute and report independent qualitative and quantitative research on issues that further the mission, values and planning process at the College;
- Serve as an advocate for data-driven decision-making processes within the institution;
- Support creativity, individual strengths, and the professional development of the Research team;
- Verify and analyze institutional and assessment data, provide policy-relevant interpretation of analyses, and design and prepare appropriate reports;
- Design reporting procedures, complete and submit various state, federal and accreditation reports, including IPEDS, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), LBB, and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS);
- Provide analytical support for Enrollment Services and Marketing functions of the College;
- Conduct environmental scanning, GIS reporting, and leadership for the Achieving the Dream Initiative.
