Whether you're feeling like it's getting hot in here or ice ice baby, we have an extremely cool program that's hot with interest. Learn beginner and advanced residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) knowledge and skills with San Jac's HVAC / Refrigeration Continuing Education program. Courses will help students gain abilities in electrical and mechanical controls and systems, refrigeration, installation, and customer service.

The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares you for an entry-level career.Complete your training in the new Center for Industrial Technology. Training includes the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating equipment.

The Certificate of Technology prepares you for the degree program, an entry-level career, or advancement in your current career. This program builds on the Air Conditioning Technology Occupational Certificate to provide you with more advanced residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) knowledge and skills. This includes abilities in electrical and mechanical controls and systems, refrigeration, installation, and customer service.

If you're studying full-time, you can complete the 36 credits for this certificate in three terms, including a summer term.

Curriculum Information
Our program gives you the basic skills needed for entry-level jobs in residential
and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating. You will start by learning
installation, troubleshooting, and service. As you move through the program, you'll
also learn about indoor air quality, system design, load calculation, and industry
standards.
These jobs can’t be automated or outsourced, so people and businesses will always
rely on HVACR technicians.
