FERPA Directory Information

Your records are protected under FERPA, however, there is some basic information that we can share. These details are part of your Directory Information.

What is Directory Information?

The College will release only directory information without a student’s consent. This includes high school dual credit and early admission students. 

Directory information includes the student’s:

  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Age (but not birthdate)
  4. Degrees earned and dates
  5. Major program of study
  6. Classification
  7. Terms of attendance
  8. Previous educational institutions attended
  9. Honors and awards (including ones they are eligible for or has received)
  10. Eligibility for and participation in officially recognized activities and sports
  11. Weight, height, and sports statistics of members of athletic teams 
  12. Enrollment status (full-time or part-time)

Can I Restrict Access to my Directory Information?  

Yes. You can request that directory information be withheld from the public at any time through your My San Jac “Personal Info & Settings.” Click on “Student FERPA Confidentiality” to select your directory confidentiality.
