National Fire Protection Association 70E (NFPA-70E)

The purpose of NFPA 70E is to protect workers from severe electrical hazards. Professionals working in or around electrical environments are required to meet NFPA 70E requirements and complete training. Pay for a Course

After you’ve found the right course, there are a number of ways to pay, including:
Use the registration link to select a course, create your student account, and pay directly with a credit card. After creating a San Jacinto College account during checkout, you’ll receive a unique identification number, which you can use for all future transactions.

If you’re purchasing a course for an employee, follow these steps:

  1. Provide the student’s information on the CPET Registration form for Employers.
  2. Within 24 hours of registering for the course, submit a letter that states that the company agrees to pay tuition, outlines the preferred payment method, and includes contact information. Use this sample letter as an example.
  3. Wait for registration confirmation from CPET and the San Jacinto College Business Office, who will arrange payment.

For customized courses, CPET will provide a contract template that outlines the payment process.

The Texas Workforce Commission’s Skills Development Fund awards grants averaging $2,000 per trainee to students who meet eligible criteria. To participate in this fund, companies must follow these steps:

  1. Meet the TWC eligibility requirements.
  2. Apply for partnership using this Private Partner Information form.
  3. Work with CPET to secure a grant, develop a specific training program, and create a schedule. Please note that to receive a grant, companies must agree to retain participating employees for at least 60 days after training.
