Steps to Transfer

Our goal is to make your transfer experience as seamless as possible. We'll provide you with the necessary tools and guidance at every stage of the process.
  1. Get Prepared

Before transferring to a four-year university, meet with a program advisor. They will check your major, help you with transfer plans, and show you the courses you need. They can also help you explore transfer options and use career services.

  2. Get Informed

Research universities that match your goals. Meet with program advisors to talk about admission requirements, which courses can transfer, and scholarships. Find the best fit for your major, interests, needs, and budget. Use virtual tours to explore the campus.

  3. Get Admitted

Visit the websites of transfer schools to learn about how to apply and the deadlines. Submit your application and any required documents, like transcripts, test scores, essays, and letters of recommendation. Pay the application fee or ask for a fee waiver if you qualify.

  4. Get Enrolled

Check your email and admissions portal for updates on your admission and next steps. Meet with a university advisor to review your transfer courses, GPA, and plan your classes. Attend orientation and register for classes.

  5. Get Help

Apply for financial aid, scholarships, veteran’s benefits, and accessibility services if you need them. Check out on-campus resources like housing, student activities, tutoring, and career services to make the most of your college experience. Using these resources can help make your transfer easier.
